Charles Cooke has been a serious painter since his youth. Encouraged by his early success, he continued his studies at the Maryland Institute of Art, graduated from the Art Institute of Boston, and became a life member of the Art Students League of New York. Mr. Cooke has studied and painted in Europe, and has exhibited his paintings throughout New England and California.

His work is in private and corporate collections, and he has received numerous awards for his oil paintings.

Whether the focus of his painting is on the creations of man or of nature, of the land or the sea, Charles Cooke's paintings are often subtle blends of classic and impressionistic styles.
